Our Silver Sneakers trained instructor, Doreen Rakowski, teaches Qi gong and several styles of T’ai Chi on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11 am.
Qi gong means “cultivating energy”. It is an ancient practice of health maintenance and healing to reduce stress, gain vitality, and enhance your immune system. Qi gong’s gentle movements, performed with mindful intent, can improve flexibility and range of motion and even help prevent falls.
This practice is recommended by the Harvard Medical School, the Cleveland Clinic, the Mayo Clinic, the National Council on Aging, the National Institutes of Health and many physicians.
