- Fit and Strong! is an evidence-based physical activity/behavior change intervention that has been successfully implemented in multiple community-based settings.
- Fit and Strong! combines flexibility, strength training, and aerobic walking with health education for sustained behavior change among older adults with lower extremity osteoarthritis. Fit and Strong delivers an eight-week program that improves lower extremity stiffness, pain, and strength, aerobic capacity, participation in exercise and caloric expenditure, and self-efficacy for exercise.
60 minutes 3 times per week for 8 weeks. Classes will be held Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 1:00 pm
